The Marten String Quartet pride themselves on making your wedding ceremony and reception beautiful, unique and memorable.
Specialising in weddings and with a wide repertoire from classical, jazz, through to contemporary pop, covering all tastes, The Marten String Quartet can capture the atmosphere you are looking for to enhance your special day.
Choosing ‘live music’ in the ceremony, using The Marten String Quartet, will provide a wonderful environment for guests as they enter the room whilst waiting for the ceremony to begin. The quartet is appreciated by guests, some of whom may not know each other, as it gives a focus in the room and sets the sophisticated atmosphere for the ceremony.
The quartet will continue to enhance the ceremony by playing music for the ‘Entrance’, ‘Signing’ and ‘Exit’ – these are all sections in the order of service that welcome the support of music, resulting in a seamless flow and elegant experience.
With the sensitive and experienced help of Sally, cellist and manager/director of the quartet, the couple get to choose their ceremony music giving that personal touch.
Walking into/or out to a piece of music that is ‘special’ to a couple, or a family member, played by live musicians, creates huge impact and wonderfully poignant memories that will be cherished forever.
During drinks receptions The Marten String Quartet mix up their repertoire to create an upbeat atmosphere with varied sets combining repertoire from all genres and catering to all tastes. Ranging from Mozart to Coldplay, The Marten String Quartet can brilliantly pinpoint music to lift a crowd. Their unique approach becomes a real talking point amongst guests!
The quartet quote is based on up to a 3 hour session, which can include guests arriving prior to the ceremony, the ceremony itself and drinks reception. This covers a large portion of the early part of the day and clients are often thrilled how much musical entertainment has been provided by the time their guests sit down to eat!
Alternatively, the quartet can provide music for the reception and dinner only if this is where music is needed. Likewise, if more hours are required to extend into the day or evening, this can be arranged.
The quartet can also work as a String Trio, which can be an option for couples on a tighter budget or if a smaller ensemble is required.
